Tulip 'Ballade' is an elegant and distinctive member of the lily-flowered tulip group, admired for its striking contrast between deep purple petals and their delicately white-pink edged tips. The long, slender blooms open slowly, resembling graceful goblets. This tulip adds refined shape to garden beds and is also excellent for cutting – its tall, strong stems hold well in a vase.

As blooming progresses, the colors may lighten slightly in the sun – the purple hue softens, sometimes taking on a violet tone, while the white edges become even more pronounced.
